As a history of books, a memory of culture, an abstraction of belief, and a seat of wishes (where the future were it to arrive may rest were it like), i had really (x4) lovely time!
This was heartbreakingly beautiful. The layouts are striking in their use of negative space and color and texture. But more than that, the words are haunting. The mechanics work perfectly to tell the story, whether you play the game or just read it. Thank you so much for sharing this.

i am glad i played it while reading it ; very intense and painful and gorgeous
Thank you for playing it. It means the world, truly. This was an intense game to make, too, so anytime someone connects with it, I feel really seen.

Wow, your thoughts on this really made my day. Thank you for engaging with Excavation One in such a generous way. It means a lot.
Thank you for making it! This game really helped me understand what appeals to me about lyric/literary games.
It really made me reflect on my past writing and how I truly wrote about what I am but not quite in the way I thought I did.
To hear that my work helped you reflect on your own -- that's great! Thank you for commenting.
This is gorgeously painful.
Holy crap, thank you so much! It was not easy to make, so I'm glad it's doing what it's meant to do.
